MAN was the first choice for haulage firm Genesis 2014 when it was looking for its first brand new vehicle.
And boss Marcus Hughes, an advocate of the MAN brand, confesses he also gave in to family pressure when his nephew and driver spotted his dream truck – the MAN TGX 26.560 XXL Centenary edition.
Marcus explained: “As a company we have always run MAN and when I bought out my brother in 2014 and the business began to expand and grow we found ourselves running older vehicles through MAN.
“When my nephew, Joshua Hughes, who is also a driver here, spotted the truck he knew it was exactly what he wanted and we took a three year rental deal.
“I like the MAN brand, it is a good brand, and he wanted a.560, so it all worked out very well. There is no point in having vehicles that the drivers don’t like and all the drivers like the MANs. In fact, I have placed an order for four more TGX 26.480s.”
Paul Hollamby, MAN Sales Executive, added: “The firm has always been loyal to MAN over the years and it is wonderful that they have remained with us to invest in the first brand new truck.”
