Food sector supplier, Rextec UK, has hit upon a new recipe for success in the shape of its first Mercedes-Benz Vito vans.
Leading Dealer group Rygor has now delivered four Vito 116 BlueTEC Longs, which have been assigned to members of the company’s 22-strong team of field engineers, who between them have clocked-up more than 350 years’ experience! A further 10 examples of the same model are due to enter service before the end of the year.
Meanwhile, Managing Director Rex Young- who founded his business in 1985 and still likes to ‘keep his hand in’ – has treated himself to a Long-bodied Vito 119 BlueTEC crew van with second row of seats.
Operations Director Georgina Carter recalled: “We had a long-established relationship with another van supplier but were no longer happy with this arrangement so decided to go out to the market to see what else was available.
“Rygor Van Sales Executive Andy Dummer arranged a week-long trial of a Vito and we were impressed from the outset. The Long version is the ideal size for our engineers, whose vans are racked out to carry all the tools and spare parts they need to provide customers with a ‘first time fix’.”
Rextec has signed-up to flexible, low-cost Agility finance agreements, which give operators a variety of options at the end of the term. “The monthly payments for the Vito are actually lower than we were paying previously, while the process of arranging the finance was so much easier than it’s been in the past,” continued Georgina. “In fact, the package put together by Andy is better in every respect.”
