MAN Truck & Bus UK is supplying vehicle recovery specialist Simon Chance with his first brand new recovery truck.
Simon who, along with wife Karen, operates Kidderminster based AVS Recovery, has opted for a 12-tonne MAN TGL chassis with a slide bed body supplied by Roger Dyson of Droitwich.
Simon explained: “This is the first brand new vehicle we have bought of this size, but we are impressed with the MANs. I know a number of people in the haulage industry who run them, and they are all impressed by their economy and reliability, and unlike some manufacturers MAN does not ask for thousands of pounds for a warranty before you even purchase a vehicle.”
The TGL will be added to the 11-strong fleet operated by AVS Recovery.
Simon added: “We are operating the old fleet, and we have done them up and brought them up to standard, but this will be the showpiece of the fleet.”
